Carob is a flowering evergreen tree that is grown mainly in the Mediterranean, it is harvested for its edible pods (Locust Beans) which are dried and used in both human grade food and animal food. Our locust Bean Treats make a great nibble treat for Rodents, Hamsters & other small animals. They are great for feeding as part of a natural diet, as a treat or as a topper to hay for added foraging fun! Being flaked, it is easy to ensure only a small amount is fed (as they are high in natural sugar), and it can be used in treat dispensers or activity toys too.
